Basic Savoy cabbage

Savoy cabbage contains vitamins A, C, E and K. Vitamin C and E are important antioxidants and protect against free radicals. Furthermore, vitamin C supports the immune system. Vitamin A is especially needed for vision and vitamin K is essential for blood clotting.

Ingredients for 2 servings

For the vegetables

  • 1/2 small savoy cabbage
  • 1 onion - peel
  • yeast-free vegetable stock

preparation

Preparation time approx. 25 minutes

Clean the savoy cabbage, wash, remove the stalk, cut into strips and braise together with the onions, sprinkle with vegetable broth, fill with some water and cook covered for about 10-15 minutes.

Ideal with jacket potatoes or mashed potatoes.
