The curry mix contains turmeric as a very important ingredient that gives the curry the intense yellow color. Other ingredients are e.g. Mustard seeds, fenugreek, ginger, cardamom, red or black pepper, coriander, cumin, cloves, chillies, etc. Spices.
Ingredients for 2 servings
For the curry
- 500 g potatoes - cut into 2 cm small cubes
- 250 g of carrots - cut into 2 cm cubes
- 2 onions - cut into 2 cm cubes
Liquid ingredients and spices
- 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
- 150 ml vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
- crystal salt
Preparation time approx. 30 minutes
Sweat the onions in coconut oil and sprinkle with curry, cumin and garam masala. Sweat briefly and then add the potatoes and carrots.
While stirring, also sweat, deglaze with the vegetable stock and cover with a soft heat while covered in a low heat.
Remove from heat, season with salt and chili and leave to soak covered for 3 minutes.
