Pommes are usually made from basic potatoes, but plenty of cheap fat and too much salt often cause an overall unhealthy dish. Now you could prepare your fries in the oven instead of in the fryer. You could use high quality fats and a pinch of herbal salt. The basic fries will be even lighter, if you do not choose potatoes, but vegetables - as we did with our basic fries. The basic fries are not only a great side dish, but also a vital-rich snack and a popular snack for children.
For the fries
- 1 kohlrabi
- 1 small sweet potato
Liquid ingredients and spices
- 2 tbsp organic frying oil or olive oil
- 1 tsp spice blossom mix from the health food store or health food store
- Some natural salt
Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Lay out a baking sheet with parchment paper. Peel kohlrabi and sweet potato and cut into large, longish pieces typical of the pommes. Lay on the baking tray. Mix the spice blossom mixture and salt with the oil. Spread the marinade on the fries with a kitchen brush. Bake for 20-25 minutes until crisp and through.
