Basic chocolate chia pudding

For the ancient Maya, chia seeds were staples and remedies in one. Meanwhile, Europe has become aware of the superfood from Mexico, because the small seeds have it all. With their high content of omega-3 fatty acids, high-quality protein, calcium, iron and soluble fiber they put some other proven food in the shade.

Ingredients for 2 servings

For the pudding

  • 100 g frozen berry fruits

Liquid ingredients and spices

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons raw cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons of yacon syrup (alternatively coconut blossom sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 300 ml of water


Mix all ingredients, except the berries, well together and let the mixture soak in the fridge overnight. On the following day add the thawed berries.

Tip: You can of course also make a larger amount of the pudding, because it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days and enrich every day another base surplus snack, z. B. a basic muesli or a fruit salad.
